I understand the difficulty in being LGBT and being spiritual. The Episcopal Church was a blessing for me. They are a wonderful loving place and the first church to allow an openly gay man to become a bishop (Gene Robinson) and they now have a same-sex blessing ceremony and allow transgender people to even be priests (along with women, and other LGB individuals and priests can be married in their church).

SINNER! You are spitting in GOD's face by telling him you don't want the sex that he lovingly assigned to you. Please for your own sake, repent for your selfishness and follow GOD's plan so that you might join us in Heaven where you can do whatever you like for eternity.

Before traveling this summer I realized that if my drivers license still said “F” I might face some issues in the very skittish American airport security. So I went to the DMV armed with a note from my therapist to get that changed.

I am really excited that my gender marker has been changed, but I am kind of upset that I need to worry about what would happen to me otherwise.

A four year old once wished on the first star in the skye that he would wake up the next morning to be a real boy. I like to think I was wishing on the same star as Pinocchio. Because my wish did come true, but not in the way that I thought it would. I am a transgender man fighting every day to make this world a place where other LGBT kids can grow up proud of who they are. I am a writer, singer, brother, son, friend and am really bad at asking for help.
But I need help now.
My voice has always been my strongest quality, whether in music or in activism, I spend a lot of time using this instrument.
My surgery will cost $8400. I have raised about $2000 so far and have a little ways to go.
Music has always been something I believed could bring people together and has been something I have always turned to in times of need.
I will be Singing for my Surgery.

Hey I have a question for you if you feel comfortable answering. I have always had some gender identity issues and recently I came across the term genderqueer or genderfluid and found it comfortable for me. However I got alot of negative feedback from trans* individuals, particularly trans*men, by identifying that way. From what i understand the people find it insulting. What are your thoughts as a trans man, I dont want to be insensitive but I see the two terms as very different things.

I don’t find it insensitive at all. I have a lot of friends who identify as genderqueer and I personally believe in equality for all gender identities. I don’t understand why transmen would be offended by “genderqueer” other than they are simply way to stuck in the idea of the socially enforced gender binary.

If you feel that genderqueer or gender fluid is the identity that fits you, then go for it! Don’t let anyone else tell you who you are.
